Our Corporate Support Team is available via phone or email and we have a HELP center to ensure that you can ask questions and issues at any time. Franchise Owners also have 24-hour access to the songs for seeds intranet, which contains extensive training videos and manuals detailing every aspect of daily operations.
We’ve spent the last decade building a tech support program that seamlessly integrates multiple technology-based systems to simplify the life of our Franchise Owners. These systems include: Point-of-Sale, Financial Reporting, Client Management, Comprehensive Training, E-Commerce Schedule Building, Class Rosters / Attendance, and Manages Franchise Owner Website.
CORPORATE MARKETING TEAM
Marketing is vital to the growth of our Children’s Music Franchise Owners, so our Corporate Team will guide you in adopting and implementing the latest and most effective marketing strategies and community outreach programs available.
We also provide access to a very extensive custom-built marketing portal called the SHOP. This portal includes hundreds of beautifully designed graphic materials and marketing collateral for our Children’s Franchise Owners to customize for their locations. They are easily downloadable and are extremely effective at getting the good word out!
HIRING YOUR TEAM

ALISON QUALTER BERNA
Alison grew up in Short Hills, New Jersey and has lived in New York City since 1994. After working in production at NBC News, she changed careers and received her Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, focusing on children. Alison then spent years working and traveling for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) where she managed a global program using sports as a vehicle to protect children and foster their development in countries around the world. Alison recently co-founded the nonprofit Team See Possibilities, working to raise money and awareness about children who are blind around the world through epic athletic endurance challenges. Alison met Allison Schlanger and her adorable sons while in music class with her baby twin girls, and they instantly connected. Alison’s proudest accomplishment is being mother to 13-year-old twin girls, Madeline and Sydney, and her 8 year old son Jack, who all like to handstand with her on almost daily basis.
Allison was born in New York City and raised in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. After college, she moved back to New York and has lived in the city since 1993. Allison is an Emmy-nominated television producer who worked at MTV Networks for over ten years. In 1996, Allison began volunteer teaching at a West Harlem elementary school. Over the course of eight years, she taught 3rd-5th graders current events and conflict resolution. In 2005, Allison met Alison Berna and her beautiful daughters in a parent/child music class. Allison is married to her business partner, Craig. The have three sons. Sam and Ari are 13 years old and Dov is 8 and looks like a marshmallow.
Bobby was born in New York City and raised in Maryland. Bobby returned to New York in 1997, working within the Marketing division of New Line Cinema. He transitioned to a career in advertising after receiving dual MBA degrees from Columbia Business School and the University of California at Berkeley. He joined one of the pioneer online advertising firms, L90, as a business development executive. Bobby then joined the start-up team at BoxTop Media, a non-traditional advertising company, where he led all aspects of business development and served as partner. He continued to serve on the company’s Board until it was acquired by Advantage Sales & Marketing in 2013. Bobby is married to Alison Berna and enjoys time with his 3 kids Maddie, Sydney, and Jack.
Craig grew up in Oceanside, New York and has lived in NYC since 1993. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Craig pursued an equity trading position at Spear Leeds & Kellogg and by 1998 was co-managing the new issue trading department on the NASDAQ desk. In 2002, after Spear Leeds & Kellogg merged with Goldman Sachs, Craig was one of the first to transition onto Goldman’s trading desk in their Biotechnology/Healthcare sector. In 2005, Craig left Goldman to help found apple seeds where he has spent the last 12 years, giving him the ability to spend more time with his three children, Sam, Ari and Dov.

Rachel is the main point of contact for our Child Education Franchise Owners. She supports each Owner in the day-to-day operations of running their business. In addition, Rachel oversees our marketing and social media department.
Don wears many hats. He oversees our band training program and is personally involved in getting every single songs for seeds franchise band member up to speed over the course of training week. He is a songs for seeds child education franchise owner (Brooklyn, NY) and a songs for seeds lead musician/guitar player, teaching up to 17 songs for seeds classes a week. To top it off, he is the funniest guy we know.

Tom does it all. Starting on day one he sets up your songs for seeds email, then he moves onto creating your website, he orders your Roadie Box, and he is intimately involved in training your musicians. Some days you may find him behind the keyboard or drum set in a songs for seeds class.

Keelyn keeps us organized. She does background checks on all employees, keeps one eye on all franchise newsletters, organizes training week, and keeps our HELP center in order. She is also the most talented photographer we have ever met and if you ask her nicely she will shoot your band.

Tammy handles the $$$. If you get an invoice from her – you owe us some. Kidding! Not really…you probably do. If it is any consolation she is probably the nicest person on our team!

Jen spends her days running apple seeds. With 12 years of experience scheduling classes, overseeing teachers, evaluating and updating curriculum, and managing client relations she is an incredible resource that we tap often. Jen will help advise you as you set your class schedule and she will weigh in on customer relationships.
Irene designs all of our marketing collateral. She also manages our SHOP site. In doing so, she’ll make sure you have some seriously effective (and beautiful!) songs for seeds marketing collateral to choose from in order to help you market your new business.
